5-DAY MASAI MARA SAFARI - KENYA

Day 01: Nairobi-Lake Nakuru

Arrival and then depart for L.Nakuru National park, home to millions of flamingos and a bird watching paradise. Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon go for a game viewing drive. You will also enjoy watching both the white and Black Rhinos.

Lake Nakuru is highly valued locally and internationally because it is a wetland of international importance (Ramsar Site) mainly as a home of millions of flamingoes, a waterfowl habitat and the first Rhino Sanctuary.

Lake Nakuru habitat is rich in a diversity of bird species i.e. 450 species and 150 species respectively making them and ornithologist haven. A variety of animal species are found in this ecosystem including rare and endangered species such as Black Rhino, White Rhino and Rothschild giraffes.

Day 02: Lake Nakuru- Masai Mara

After breakfast depart for Masai Mara through the Great Rift Valley. Enjoy the plains and savannahs of Africa.

Arrive Masai Mara for lunch, the world’s leading wildlife protected area with highest wildlife density and diversity. Home to the annual great wildebeest migration. This is what is taking you down there.

Lunch and leisure: Afternoon game drive and magic moments out in the grass savannah or may be along the beautifully meandering Talek River. Return to camp before sunset, sit around the campfire, and hear the sounds of the night.

Day 03: Masai Mara

Wake up and prepare to go for a half day game viewing drive. The camp and guide will organize a packed breakfast for you. Stop under a secure tree and enjoy your breakfast by 9 O’clock as you watch plain Antelopes. After breakfast continue with game drive as you head back to the camp site to arrive by lunch time. 

This afternoon you will visit the community activities like the, the local primary school and the Masais community cultural village. It is very important to bring donation inform of medication or medical equipment to the clinic .It is also important to bring with you text books, stationery, pens, and pencils etc for the school going children. Guests are also given an opportunity to adopt a child; especially a girl and sponsor her education since they are the most vulnerable in the Masai Community. (Note Masai cultural village is charged at USD 20 per person).

Day 04: Masai Mara

Full day and full day out in the wild. Today you will have your breakfast at the camp. Pack your lunch and depart for a full day game viewing drive. Being the time for the great annual wildebeest migration, the more hours you spend in the wild the more chances of witnessing beautiful scenes of wild happenings. Prey predator unfriendly but natural interactions play out openly in the jungle as you watch. You will later in the afternoon be taken back to the camp.

Day 05: Mara-Nairobi

Breakfast, and depart slowly for Nairobi. You will reach Nairobi in the afternoon, drop off in town or Airport as per your program.

This will mark the end of the safari.

Note should be taken that we have got two types of Safaris. Some opt for Luxury Safari (lodges / hotels) and others opt for Budget Safaris (camping and simple accommodation).
